Bedtime Socks Revisited

Bedtime Socks RevisitedMy apologies for not having finished telling you about our South Island trip yet. Life has become a little complicated and I have had something important to deal with. I hope to be able to tell you about it soon.

In the meantime I thought I would write this short post to update you on a couple of more recent things. The first thing is the “Bedtime Socks”. The socks I made for my granddaughter were a good fit and enthusiastically received. She actually put on one of each as soon as I gave them to her.

Unfortunately the socks for my grandson ended up being a bit close fitting so I brought them home with me. I have pulled back the toes on all four and have knitted an extra eight rows on each one. I am lucky enough to be heading back down in another few weeks, and will take them with me. Hopefully they will be okay this time.

Bedtime Socks Revisited Bedtime Socks RevisitedThe second thing I want to share with you is that we have spring flowers starting to bloom at the end of autumn! They are often going well at the end of winter, but I have not seen them actually flower this early. Nice, but rather strange.

(PS. I’ve just upsized the photos in my “South Island Trip (part one)” post so that you can see them better.)
